Dear Colleagues!

Jernkontoret (The Swedish Steel Producers’ Association) and its Technical Committees on Metallurgy, proudly welcome you to participate on the 3rd International Conference on Ingot casting, Rolling and Forging, ICRF2018 on 16–19 October 2018 in Stockholm, Sweden. The program includes three plenary speakers, three invited speakers, and about 60 scientific papers. We also have about 20 exhibitors in our exhibition area. With many of the international experts on the topics present, it has all the opportunities to become a great success. By the way, I’m happy to announce that we all have been invited by the local authorities of Stockholm City to a welcome reception on the evening of Oct 16, at the famous City Hall. Technical program

The ICRF Conference 2018 will provide a forum to showcase technical development of ingot casting production beyond conventional practices and development of remelting processes for highest steel cleanliness. It will also focus on rolling and forging technologies. The complete program can be found on the web site (still open for minor changes).

Exhibition and Sponsoring

The exhibition area is outside the conference rooms and is easily accessible. Please have a look on the floorplan on our website as well as our Sponsor and Exhibition Packages. If you are interested in an exhibition booth, please contact the organisers. We still have a few booths available.

Registration

Delegate registration is done directly on the web site where you also find the prices. The registration fee includes:

  • Access to all scientific sessions
  • Access to exhibition area
  • Lunch and coffee break
  • Congress bag and program
  • Welcome reception, Tuesday 16 October (pre-registration is needed)

Save money and register before June 15 (Early bird fee). For those of you who need an invitation letter, please send a mail to confirmation@mci-group.com together with a copy of your passport. You will receive an invitation letter within a few days.

Accommodation

There are several hotels within walking distance to the conference centre. We have secured a number of rooms in different categories in hotels close to the conference area, bookable when you do the registration.

Transportation

Since the Conference Centre is located in Stockholm city, it is very easy to reach if you are arriving by train or air. You find all the details about transportation from/to the airport on our website.

Social program

Welcome reception: The authorities of Stockholm city have invited us all, delegates as well as accompanying persons, to a welcome reception at the famous City hall (place for the Nobel Prize dinner). The reception includes a guided tour of the building. Note that a pre-registration is needed. The reception starts at 18:00 (prompt) on October 16.

Conference dinner: The conference dinner will be held at the famous Vasa museum., the world’s only preserved seventeenths century ship. Buses will take us from the conference centre to the museum at 19:00 on October 18 and back after the dinner around 23:00. We will start with a guided tour and hear the spectacular story about the ship. Note, the conference dinner is not included in the registration fee, see the web site.
